Join the circle of fellow grief navigators for a thoughtful yet playful exploration of the many facets of grief in our lives.
Experience how the healing magic of the Love, Wild Gardens will serve as a caring sanctuary for our gentle and creative grief tending in community with humans and the other-than-humans.
Come as you are. There is a brave space for it all – from the many small and everyday sorrows to the bigger and overwhelming grief experiences.
Our time together is framed by several activities meant to creatively connect with the living grief inside and around us:
Herbal Wisdom: Meet and learn about plant allies that are available and reaching out to support our journey with grief. We will discuss and experience herbal teas, tinctures, oils, and other ways to engage with the healing wisdom of herbs to navigate the beauty and sorrow in our lives.
Grief Crafting: Playfully engage with creative activities like drawing with plants, introspective journaling, and nature weaving. There will be some alone time for crafting merged with group sharing. No special skills or experience required - there is no right or wrong way of doing this all and you’ll receive guidance for the process.
Community Ritual: Sharing a sacred experience of simple and meaningful embodied gestures as a gentle way to express, honor, and witness each other’s grief with intention and kindness. The community ritual is an invitation - active participation is optional, but please be present to respectfully hold space.
Please bring: your own lunch, water, journal and pen, wear temperature appropriate and comfy clothing.

We’ll close our afternoon by savoring wintry warm tea and light snacks as we share reflections and a gratitude practice.
We'll move gently—up to 2 miles on varied terrain—with every invitation adaptable.
No experience needed; just bring your curiosity and presence.
Celebrate the Winter Solstice with a wonder-filled afternoon of nature therapy (forest bathing), plant wisdom, and a winter light ritual. Open to ages 16 and up. Registration is required.
Reconnect with the wisdom of the season and the natural world as we honor the shortest day and longest night of the year. Join us for a meaningful afternoon in the beauty of Meadowlark’s winter landscape. Through multi-sensory nature connection, plant wisdom, and a winter light ritual, you’ll be invited to slow down, reflect, and experience the season in a new way.
What to Expect:
- Slow down, awaken your senses, and tap into the energy of the Winter Solstice.
- Plant wisdom refers to the multifaceted and seasonal teachings that plants offer us for body, mind & spirit. This includes medicinal gifts, communication, and traditional wisdom drawn from stories, mythology, and folklore.
- Nature therapy (forest bathing) invites us to reconnect with nature—and our own inner nature—through immersing our senses in the natural environment, supporting wellness, creativity, focus, and belonging.
- A wonder wander & winter light ritual engages us in a meditative walk combined with a quiet and reflective ritual to carry a gentle light into the longest night.
