  • What does Cura Viriditas mean?
Cura stands for care. Viriditas means the greening power of the divine, a term coined by the German medieval Benedictine abbess Hildegard von Bingen. She used it referring to the healing and vitality giving aspects of nature. Working with Cura Viriditas means working with the care that nature provides for us.
  • How much can I expect to pay for herbs?
Your monthly cost for herbs will depend on a variety of factors, one of them being your budget. Herb costs typically range between $30 and $100 per month, but can be lower or higher depending on your unique situation and needs. We work together to ensure costs will stay within your budget and are sustainable. As your protocol changes over time, so will the costs, meaning they usually go down over time.
  • How will I get my herbs?
I work with a couple of dispensaries that compound the teas and tinctures I custom formulate for my clients and will ship directly to your door. I will initiate the order at the dispensaries, and you will then be prompted to check out and pay. Depending on your protocol, I may also supply you with links to trusted companies, apothecaries, and farmers to order some of your herbs. For your food herbs and plant needs, shop at your favorite farmer's market and grocery store.
  • Are you getting sales percentage of the herbs I buy?
No, I forward all professional discounts I receive 100% to my clients.
  • In what format will I take my herbs?
My favorite and most frequently used formats for working with medicinal plants are: as food, teas, tinctures (alcoholic extracts of fresh or dried herbs), glycerites (glycerin extracts of dried herbs), herbal powders, as well as topical applications like salves and oils.

  • How long will it take for me to experience noticeable effects and change?
This will uniquely depend on your situation, the imbalances, and herbs we are working with, the pace we are choosing most suitable for you, as well as your commitment to the suggested protocol. Noticeable affects can be anywhere between days, weeks, and in some circumstances months. I will address this in detail during your consultation and in your protocol.

An important part of my work with clients is to provide education and information regarding quality and ethical herb sourcing - this will include information about what sources and marketplaces to best avoid.

  • Do you practice homeopathy?
No. Clinical herbalism and homeopathy are two vastly different disciplines. I neither discourage nor encourage my clients to work with homeopathy.
  • Are you opposed to modern medicine?
